MARCO 2016 Annual Meeting Update

To All MARCO Members: Here’s another reminder! If you have not already done so, please let me know by return e-mail (k6jw@arrl.net) ASAP whether you will be attending the MARCO Saturday night banquet in Dayton on 5/21/2016, and whether you will be attending alone or with a significant other. I need to have a count for the hotel so we’ll have enough dinners for everyone! Our banquet speaker will be MARCO member Mike McGirr, MD, K9AJ. He’ll be speaking about his experiences as a physician on several notable DXpeditions, most recently the harrowing VP8 adventures on South Sandwich (Thule) and South Georgia. Thanks to our President Elect, Richard Lochner, K9CIV for his suggesting Mike as our speaker. Also, if you have any special items that you wish included on the Friday AM meeting agenda, send those to me, as well. I prefer to have all items for discussion listed on the formal agenda with no, or at least minimal, ad hoc stuff, if possible. (No need to send the routine items — they’re covered!) All being well, we should be able to get to the Hamvention by late morning, just in time to partake of all that wonderful (!?!) Hara Arena food for lunch… Thanks and 73, Jeff,...

If you’re going to be there, PLEASE let me know by e-mail and let me know whether you’ll be alone or accompanied. We try have an after-dinner presentation but it’s not easy to find quality presenters in Dayton who aren’t tied up with other banquets or obligations.
